About The Founder

Ishitaa Bhatia

Hi!
I'm Ishitaa, an experienced, qualified Registered Associate Nutritionist (ANutr.) (MSc.) and founder of The Nutrition Project.

I completed my BSc. in Microbiology-Biochemistry from St. Xavier's College, Mumbai before deciding to specialise in Nutrition.
I pursued my first masters in Foods, Nutrition and Dietetics from Mumbai University; and was the receiver of the Dr. KU Naram Award from AFSTI amongst other accolades for securing 1st rank.
Thereafter, I went on to pursue a second masters in Clinical and Public Health Nutrition from University College London, UK; receiving a Distinction degree.
I have undergone training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT-E) from the ED unit at University of Oxford (CREDO).

I have been fortunate to be trained under the finest set of dietitians, researchers and doctors.
I have worked closely with patients in the Intensive Care Units during my training in clinical dietetics at Breach Candy Hospital, Mumbai.
Later, I posed as an MSc. Researcher at the Royal Free Hospital in London, UK- interacting mainly with patients with liver cirrhosis.
Moving back to India, I worked at Centre for Metabolic Surgery, Wockhardt Hospital, Mumbai Central - tending to 100+ post-surgery patients during my tenure.
As I realised my growing interest in Pediatric Nutrition and Eating Disorders I had the good fortune to train under renowned paediatrician- Dr. Mahesh Balsekar at SRCC Children's Hospital, Mumbai.
With the plethora of knowledge gained from the experts, The Nutrition Project was founded.
